There are many different types of animals that live in the Desert one of them being the Gila Monster (See Below) and many more.
The Gila Monster- A reptile that lives in the Southwestern part of the US and in Northwestern Mexico. They eat small mammals and they eat other animals eggs. They are nocturnal just like most Desert animals. They are 1 of the 2 venomous lizards in the world.
Cactus Wren- A bird that lives in the Southwestern part of the US. They eat insects. They like to live in Cacti and that's where they lay their eggs.

Sidewinder- A snake that lives in the Southwestern part of the US and down into Southern Mexico. They like to eat small mammals since they are easier to catch. They are nocturnal. They slither sideways known as sidewinding. They do this because it keeps them off the hot sand.
